Words On Wednesday

Have I mentioned lately how much I love this time of year? Autumn is my season. The other morning I took my little Abby Dog out for her morning walk in the yard. It was so lovely and peaceful. Everything was covered in dew, and it looked all twinkly and white. The air was filled with mist, and it was so quiet. I looked down and saw these pretty little weeds decorated with drops of moisture on a million tiny tips. It was breathtaking. I plucked one, brought it inside, placed it on a vintage dictionary page I happened to have on the table (my life is a giant collage, what can I say?), and snapped this picture. Now, every time I look at this photo I remember that lovely fall morning, and I think of how much I love this time of year.

"My life is a giant collage"... I love that!

That's such a pretty picture. I love the delicate little plant on the dictionary page. And your description of it, and of that peaceful, misty morning is so evocative. I'm glad you were able to capture some of its essence and its memory in this photo. Thank you for sharing it with the rest of us!

Autumn is so hauntingly beautiful, isn't it? It stirs something deep inside us, I think.

Love the photo - but more than that I love the story behind it. True art.
