Thankful Thursday - Wonderful Exhaustion

Today, I am so thankful, but so exhausted! Half of my belonging have been in storage for the last year and a half. On a regular basis you could hear me say "oops, wait, I think that is in storage". Not to mention how much I hated paying the rent on storage box. Well today I emptied it! Hooray! I was hoping to have help, but that didn't work out, so little by little, I did it myself. I'm feelin' alittle like an exhausted version of Wonder Women. I am one giant ache, but it feels great!
Sorry for the lack of pretty pictures again, but I just couldn't do it. I thought you would understand. I have some beauties coming soon, I promise.
It's 4:30 here, do you think it's too early for pajama's?
What are you thankful for this week?

Flowers On A Friday - But You Can't See Them

Today, I'm going to go help out with some wedding flowers. I will be surrounded by little prettiest all day and I am so sad that I won't be able to share them with you right now. My computer had to go to the computer shop. So, this simple post is the best I can do, sorry. Maybe you could just go out and smell some roses and we'll call it even, ok? I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend. Big hugs.

Meatless Monday - It's All About The Blueberries

I bought this giant basket of blueberries and I have been enjoying them all day long. They are as much a treat to my eyes as they are to my mouth. For nostalgia sake, I have to eat at least one bowlful of these beauties the way my grandmother used to eat hers. She loved them with a dollop of sour cream (I go with the vegan version) and a sprinkle of brown sugar. The rest will be enjoyed au natural - delicious!

Flowers On A Friday - Rhododendron

The rhododendron's are in bloom around here. Such a spectacular show they put on. Giant bushes packed with outrageous colorful blossoms. Good times!
I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend. I'll just be here unpacking, and enjoying my new home.

Thankful Thursday - Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens

Today, I'm really grateful to announce that The Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens picked me to be the artist of the year for their Art In The Gardens event. I'm really thrilled and flattered (that is why they were taking my picture for the newspaper). My painting will be featured on the posters and on some very nice T-shirts (maybe I'll talk my daughter into modeling, so you can see one). It is really an honor, and I am very thankful.
The event will be held August 6th. All you local folks - I hope to see you there.

Settling In

Wow, this is really taking a while. Thanks for your concern, all is well. The moving went pretty smoothly, thanks to some great helpers. There are still boxes everywhere, and I can't find anything, but I'm surrounded by beauty so who cares. This is the most peaceful and serene place I have ever lived. Sleeping here is amazing, I completely knock-out. The pets think it's wonderful. My daughter is thrilled to have her very own first place! It is so cute to watch her decorating and nesting.
Sadly, I became violently ill right after I moved in. It was a bad one. Fortunately, it didn't last long, but boy, did I feel awful! I was sick for a day, but wiped out for several more. That is why you haven't heard from me in a little bit. I thought about all of you, and I wanted to share some stories, but I just couldn't make myself leave the couch.
I need to go get ready now. I'm having my picture taken for the newspaper. I'll share that story really soon, I promise. It's a good one, don't worry.

Thankful Thursday - New Digs

Exterior Of My New House

The View From All Those Windows
Today, I'm very thankful to be moving into my new place. Here are a few quick pics. Check out all those miss matched windows. It's a total hippie house! Check out the view, nice right? You can see the fire pit, the garden area, and of course all the pretty trees. I'll share more pictures of the inside, and the other two cabins, really soon. I'm going to be without a computer for a little bit (should be back up and running by the middle of next week) so I'll be talking with you soon. In the meantime, what are you thankful for today?
