Many of the guests came in costume, and it seemed like everyone was having a wonderful time. Isn't it sweet?

Flowers On A Friday - An Ocean Of Orchids

Where has this week gone? I've been so busy! Today will be another busy day, but I wanted to at least wish everybody a happy weekend. Today, I'll be working on a Mad Hatter's Tea Party inspired wedding. It should be so much fun! There are a couple hundred pretty little tea cups and tea pots that need quirky and tiny arrangements. So cute!

Flowers On A Friday - Dancing In The Rain

I loved the way this flower looks like it's wearing a fancy gown, and dancing in the rain. Can you see that too? Have a happy, and perhaps dance filled, weekend everybody.

Thankful Thursday - Walls Notebook

This week I'm thankful that I bought myself a super wonderful gift. You may, or may not, know this about me, I am crazy about old bricks, rust, graffiti, all things grungy, aged, and urban. One of my favorite series of paintings that I ever worked on was a group that incorporated images of aged bricks (the photos above show some of those paintings) that I photographed while I was on a trip to Chicago.
Another one of my favorite things to do is art journaling. So, when I saw the Walls Notebook that was it! I was hooked, and it couldn't get it my mailbox fast enough! And here it is, isn't it great? A journal filled with page after page of gorgeous urban grunge waiting for paint, pens, and collage. What a cool way to tap into your inner graffiti artist!

I'll be sure to share how it evolves as I work with it. I can't wait to play! Thankful, thankful.

Home Sweet Home

I'm back home. I love to go off on adventures but I love to come back home too. I mentioned that I was going to be staying in a 4 star hotel, and it was very nice. They have a Maxfield Parrish Painting hanging in the Pied Piper Bar and I loved staring at that for awhile. The Garden Court is totally grand and spectacular! The Palace Hotel really is a little slice of San Francisco history.
Then I came home. The contrast made me laugh so hard. Here is a picture of what awaited me back at the ole homestead. Yes, that is a giant slug investigating our roll of TP.
Ahhhh, home sweet home.

On The Road Again

Hi Kids. Art In The Gardens was this weekend and it was really nice. I must admit that I'm a little happy that the "Queen For A Day" part of it is over. This morning, I'm leaving for the San Francisco. I'll be going to the wholesale gift show and supply shopping at the big wholesale flower market - good times. Four star hotel here I come!

A Snails Pace

I had to switch to satellite Internet access and I have to say I'm not impressed. It feels painfully slow, and my blog hopping isn't very bouncy.  I miss bopping all around the web. I guess this is the price you must pay for living in the woods. Anyway, I thought I would mention it, since I'm not visiting all of your lovely and inspiring blogs as much as I used to, sorry.

So sad.
