This is on of those lemon's into lemonade sort of deals. My new place doesn't have an area for a washer and drier so I had to get rid of my machines when I moved. I have to admit this is sort of a bummer. However, I am making the best of it. My buddy Kathryn, and I, have started having "laundry parties". OK, there might not be cake or noise makers involved, but it has turned into a really nice opportunity to stay in touch with a good friend. Our clothes swoosh and fluff around in the machines and we sit around and talk about all the stuff going on in our lives. It's a pretty lovely ritual, and I'm very thankful to have it. It really softened the blow of having to return to Lucy's.

That stinks that there's no room for your washer/dryer! Yuck. At the very least, though, I guess it's good that you can keep up with your friend! :)
What a wonderful idea, and a great way to make the best of every situation! :)
